At Peace, we feel it's important to be directly involved in our community as best as we're responsibly able. Just one tangible example of that is the opportunity we've had to partner with Growing Gardens to provide North Boulder neighborhoods with a 30-plot, fully-watered, raised-bed, organic-soiled community garden. Our "Living Harvest" garden officially opened in spring of 2015 and has been a source of steady produce ever since. As an added bonus to our community work, excess vegetation frequently is donated to the Emergency Family Assistance Association here in North Boulder - blessed to help out there, too.
If you're interested in a plot at the Living Harvest garden, please do connect with Growing Gardens on that (we're the land owners, they're the land managers). Additionally, they're uber-willing and ever-ready to get gardeners actively involved; plus, they have a vast knowledge of Colorado gardening and Boulder-specific community gardens.
For questions directly related to the Living Harvest garden, please feel free to contact Pastor Stern (firstname.lastname@example.org); he's happy to get together with you to talk garden-y things; and is eager to learn a few things from you more-experienced gardener types.
All that out there, thanks for your interest in our garden. If you're in the area, please don't hesitate to swing past, savor a quiet reflection on the picnic table, and enjoy the vast array of vegetation found on the corner of 28th & Jay!
